This is one of those films seriously rooted in authentic detail and atmosphere, an aura contrasting stories.
Kashmakash is dubbed Hindi version of Rituparno Ghosh's film Nauk Dubi Benglai based on the story of Rabindranath Tagore with the same name.
Set in the 1920s, the film chronicles the lives of four people linked together by circumstance. A simple village girl (Riya Sen) error Ramesh (Jishu Sengupta) to her husband when the marriage was arranged without the meeting of the newlyweds. Glad to see him and the house, the girl slowly falls in love with Ramesh. But Ramesh, realize it is not the girl he married, seeks to find her real husband. Meanwhile, he is forced to leave his true love Hemnalini (Raima Sen) who is desperate to know her sudden marriage.
When his father (Dhritiman Chatterjee, very sober) Hemnalini takes a trip to Kashi, he met a local doctor Nalinaksha (Prosenjit) and form a connection. It is suggested to marry, but also by random shocks Ramesh former lover. He is now in a "kashmakash" (dilemma), as well as the other characters.
The stories are woven together deftly delicate and does not seem so implausible, as they are. The performances are remarkable. Raima Sen appears to be the scene-stealing, portray the intelligence and sensitivity Hemnalini masterfully. His relationship with his father encapsulation respect and friendship is one of the most attractive aspects of the film.
The story is based on coincidences and the mysterious hand of fate is moving along the contour. It may strike some viewers are too weird, but the story is a fairy tale is a heart! In fact, it's you I remember the lyric rain jacket that has been directed by Rituparno Ghosh in 2004.
Garcia takes her time establishing the characters and although one may be deprived of a normal viewer, it is likely that several other restless.
The vote is expected to be divided over whether it makes sense to dub or subtitle a film, to stick the nuances of the language. After seeing the dubbed version of the film, it is certain that the work of dubbing and sound only marginally affected in several portions. After watching several films in Bengali and some with subtitles, it is undeniable that this language into authentic with apt subtitle is a much more authentic to enjoy a movie.
Still might recommend Kashmakash Rituparno Ghosh's incredible story, the characters tasty, and massive performance.
